Founded in 1986, Acorn Engineering became known for electrical expertise in Narrowboat systems, and natural growth saw the company activity expand into the supply of Narrowboat equipment in general. We now we have one of the largest and most comprehensive websites for narrowboat equipment, with secure online ordering facilities.

In addition, Peter Hopley is a Marine Surveyor, offering pre-purchase or hull condition surveys, and is also authorised to carry out Boat Safety inspections and issue Boat Safety Certificates. He is also currently Gas Safe registered to undertake LPG work in Boats.
